*past participle is used to for first action that happened in the past:
had + past participle (-en/-ed/different form) of main verb
2. No sooner had Willis stepped into the room than he was asked to leave.
3. The canary had no sooner flown out of the cage than the cat pounced on it.
4. Jack had no sooner planted the magic bean into the ground than it started sprouting.
5. Paul had no sooner laid his eyes on his present than he tore it open.
6. No sooner had I stepped out of my room than I saw a mouse run into the kitchen.
7. Lynn had no sooner walked into the mall than she saw Cynthia in a shop.
8. No sooner had the actress gotten out of the car than the paparazzi began snapping pictures.
9. Miss Hani had no sooner left the classroom than the students started misbehaving.

10. No sooner had one event ended than another is to start the next day.
